Phelps County is under a significant weather advisory through 9:45 a.m on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. Strong thunderstorms are moving southeast through the Rolla area. A half inch of hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with these storms.

During the spring and summer months, conditions that create severe weather such as thunderstorms, dangerous thunderstorms, lightning strikes and tornadoes may develop at any time and with little warning.

All members of the Missouri S&T community should be familiar with these types of weather conditions and the proper procedures for seeking shelter during severe weather activity. Missouri S&T faculty, staff and students are advised to sign up or update their contact information here. Missouri S&T will notify the campus community of severe weather through the mass notification system.
